Groups

We know you can't do life alone.  Engage in meaningful relationships by doing life together.  Be a part of each others lives, fellowship, and be on mission together.  It is in the context of these groups that genuine community and growth begins to happen.  Are you looking for a way to get connected to other people in the church?  To grow in your faith, you need people surrounding you to encourage and challenge you.  Groups are a great opportunity for you to get connected to our church and take your relationship with God to the next level!

  • Come along gang

This group is exactly what the name suggests...come along for a day trip with our travel group.  Consisting mostly of our retired folks, we take monthly or semi-monthly trips together to fun and sometimes educational attractions.  Warning:  Our trips always include a food stop.  You don't have to be retired to come along.  Events are posted on the calendar page.  Trips will begin in June so check back frequently for up to date information.

  • Action ladies

This group is dedicated to providing Christian fellowship and service opportunities for women.  Activities vary throughout the year so be sure to check the events page for updated information.

  • recharge

Recharge is our Wednesday evening meal and Bible study.  Meals are the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm.  The other three Wednesday's are Bible Study only and begin at 6:30pm.  Recharge runs from September to June.  Recharge will begin again on March 3 at 6:00pm.  No meal will be served for the remainder of this year.

  • Children's ministry

Our Children's Program is uniquely designed for children newborn through 4th grade.  We believe children are a blessing from God and we are passionate about creating an environment that is safe, age-appropriate, fun, and where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way allowing children to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Nursery is geared toward children ages birth - 24 months.  During your child's visit, they will be cared for both emotionally and physically by our nursery staff.  Adults and older students will change diapers, bottle feed, provide a snack, hold, rock, and comfort your child throughout their stay.

Preschool is geared toward kids ages 2-5.  Preschool volunteers are committed to helping our little ones understand worship and encourage them to talk to God any time and any place.  Staff will lead your children through a meaningful Bible lesson, an activity or craft, and snack time.  Lessons are kept simple and fun and focus on one of the following foundational truths - God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever.  It is our hope that these truths take a firm hold of our children's hearts and are carried with them for the rest of their lives.

Elementary is for kids to participate in a safe, fun, and purposeful time of worship and teaching to learn more about God.  We are committed to helping your student grow in every aspect of their relationship with Jesus and the world around them.

  • Junior high/high school youth groups

Our student ministry is called Impact.  We want our youth to have a positive impact in their families, at school, and anywhere they are in our community.  We strive to have an impact with J.O.Y. (Jesus Over Youth).  At Pleasant Grove, we're dedicated to providing a place for students in 5th grade through High School to connect with God, with other students, and with committed leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Christ.  We believe students are in a unique time in their life where they can grasp the Gospel and the impact of having the life of Jesus in them.  Impact students in grades 5-7 meet Sunday evenings from 5-6pm and grades 8-12 meet from 6-7:30pm.
