We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, we are able to serve those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities. Pleasant Grove's outreach and service ministries are through H.E.L.P. of Morrow County and the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
The Healthcare Equipment Lending Program (H.E.L.P.) for Morrow County is a new ministry for Pleasant Grove but has been around Morrow County for many decades as part of Morrow County Society for Crippled Children and Adults. This program lends basic healthcare equipment (such as crutches, wheelchairs, hospital beds, etc.) to Morrow County residents at no charge. There are no income qualifications and no time limitations. We simply want to help those who may be struggling financially due to an injury or illness.
Currently, some of our inventory is housed in our church building, but we are in the process of constructing a storage building to contain everything under one roof. It will be located across the road from our current building, between the cemetery and our parsonage.
If you are in interested, please call 567-240-1191 to check our inventory and set up an appointment, or contact us by email at email@example.com.
NOTE: Our new storage building is currently being constructed and will hopefully be finished soon!
The first Saturday of each month we gather with other area churches to help distribute fresh produce and other goodies provided by the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. This takes place at North Woodbury Alliance Church. Volunteers report at 9:45am. Registration begins at 11:00am.
As Jesus left this world, his parting words to his disciples were: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." We challenge you to be willing to serve and make disciples with us.
